Merry Christmas

Well 2014 is drawing to a close and what a fabulous year I've had in Room 7. Here's wishing all parents, caregivers and children a wonderful holiday. May 2015 bring you much happiness and may you be healthy.

Plant Fibres

Plant fibres - we cut some flax from the school gardens and scraped them to reveal the fibres. We then twisted or plaited them. We were amazed at how strong the flax is!

Animal Fibres

As part of our farm study we are looking at animal fibres - what can we make in the classroom with wool from a sheep? We made balls and felt pictures.

Serendipity Fram Park

We had such visiting the farm park last week as part of our study on farms and fibres. Thanks to all the wonderful parents for their support - we could not do it without you.

A fun Friday afternoon.

On Friday afternoon everyone was tired and I realised my plan was not going to work - so we had half an hour of choosing activities. Look what they all got up to. Lots of fun and social interaction! Still so important for them to chill out.
