Merry Christmas

Plant Fibres
Plant fibres - we cut some flax from the school gardens and scraped them to reveal the fibres. We then twisted or plaited them. We were amazed at how strong the flax is!
Animal Fibres
As part of our farm study we are looking at animal fibres - what can we make in the classroom with wool from a sheep? We made balls and felt pictures.

A fun Friday afternoon.
On Friday afternoon everyone was tired and I realised my plan was not going to work - so we had half an hour of choosing activities. Look what they all got up to. Lots of fun and social interaction! Still so important for them to chill out.
